HashTravel, Inc. (“HashTravel”, “RoadGoat”, "us", "we", or "our") , a Delaware corporation, operates web and mobile applications (the “Site”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site. We use your personal information only for providing and improving the Site. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect and How We Use it

While using our Site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

  1. Registration Account Details

    If you create an account on the Site, we may collect, store, and use your full name, email address, hometown, current city, places you’ve been (“visits”, “travel guides” or “been there”), third-party account identifier, third-party account contacts. Your full name, profile photo, hometown, current city, and places you’ve been will be publicly displayed on your account profile. You can access your account profile by logging in and clicking on “My Profile” from the main menu of any page.

    You can modify some of your account profile by logging in and visiting the “Edit Profile” link from the main menu of any page. To edit places you’ve been, login and visit the “My Profile” link from the main menu and individually edit visits there. If you believe someone has created an unauthorized account, you can request its removal by sending us a message through the Contact Us page.

  2. Contributions to the Site

    The information you contribute to the Site is intended for public consumption. This information includes your places you’ve been, travel guides, bookmarks (“want to go”), “useful” votes, photos, users you’re following, users that follow you, trips, and account profile. We may share this information on the Site or to third parties.

  3. Site Usage

    We may track and store usage data to optimize the content and operations of our Site. This includes actions taken on the Site such as logins, searches, pages you view, interactions, or time spent on the Site. We may store information from your computer, tablet, or mobile phone about how you use the Site such as Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses, browser type, browser version, language settings, locational data, and referring internet addresses. In addition, we may use third party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyze usage data.

  4. Third Party Accounts

    If you register or link your account with third parties such as Facebook, Twitter, or Google, we may receive information about you from those third parties.

  5. Contacts

    On the Site, users can follow each other. Users that you follow or that follow you are displayed on your profile page. You can invite your friends to join the Site by going to the “Find Friends” page from the main menu on each page and providing us with their email address. You can also invite friends to join the Site through contacts provided by third party accounts.

    If you connect your Facebook account to our Site, by default you automatically follow all Facebook contacts that are already on the Site or subsequently join the site. You can disable automatically following Facebook friends in the future by disabling “Automatically follow friends that join RoadGoat” from the “Find Friends” page.

  6. Emails

    If you create an account on the Site, you are opting to receive emails from the Site. You can opt out of some emails, however you cannot opt out of legal or administrative emails. We may track whether you have deleted, received, opened, or forwarded emails to improve our operations.

  7. Messaging

    We may allow users on the Site to message each other. Messages may be stored by the Site and reviewed if flagged as inappropriate. Messages may not be delivered if they are considered objectionable, such as containing spam, advertising, or content not deemed appropriate for our audience. We may disclose messages in connection with investigations.

  8. Cookies and Other Web Technologies

    A web cookie is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on the user's computer by the user's web browser while the user is browsing. We may use cookies and other web technologies such as advertising identifiers, tags, or scripts. They allow us to optimize delivery of our website to your screen as well as to optimize your user experience. You may be able to disable some cookies through your device’s browser settings.

  9. Response to “Do Not Track” Signals

    We do not currently honor a web browser’s Do Not Track ("DNT") signals or similar practices

  10. Social Media Websites

    You can share certain information with third party social media websites, such as Facebook or Twitter, through our Site. We never share on third party social media websites sites on behalf of your account without your permission. Information shared with those sites will be governed by their privacy policies. You may be able to modify privacy settings with the third party social media sites.

  11. External Links

    The Site may contain links to external websites. Those websites are not governed by this privacy policy. We recommend you review the privacy policy of those website to understand how they collect, use, and disclose personal information.

  12. Children

    We do not offer our Site to those under 13 years of age. Should an individual that we know to be under 13 years of age contribute to our website, we will remove such information from the Site.

  13. Changes to Privacy Policy

    HashTravel Inc. may change or modify the privacy policy in the future. We will note date of authorship at the top of this page. We will notify users of material changes to the privacy policy via the email addresses provided to us or by placing a notice on the website. We encourage you to check the privacy policy often to review the most current version.
